At the 2006 census, its population was 135, in 35 families. == Etymology == The name Hamamlu is composed of two words: ''Hammam'' in Arabic (حَمّام) means "Dove" and in traditional Azerbaijani names (Village or city names) usually end with "-lı", "-lu", (Turkic for 'with' or 'belonging to'). As a result, Hamamlu or Hamamlı means "The Village of the Doves".
